Story (synopsis) - Raghu and Raju

STORY (SYNOPSIS)

Working title: Raghu and Raju

Once in Jaipur, in two different places there were two boys named Raghav and Rajan nicknamed as Raghu and Raju. Both were graduates but unemployed. Although they din’t have any job and money they had dreams which were rich. They dreamed of a life full of luxury. They wished for branded clothes, pubs and discos, luxury cars and parties. But they never did anything to earn money except from dreaming. Hence were always scolded at home. One day both ran away from home. They met in a train going to Delhi. Togather they conned TT and developed a friendship.

At Delhi both Raghu and Raju rented a house in a posh area. They conned the members of house society on the name of NGO for blind people and thus managed to pay rent of the house. Soon they planned various fraud - ventures only to become smartest conmen of Delhi.

Once in a pub they befooled a businessman. Raghu claimed that one of the cutest girl in the pub was a prostitute and he was her pimp. Raju acted as an aide to convince the businessman. They took Rs 25,000 from the businessman and flee. Later the poor- fellow was slapped by the girl and beaten by her boy-friend.

In another incidence Raghu and Raju sold a house of an old man who was gone to USA to visit his son to a Gujrati family for 25 lakhs. Later when the owner of the house and his son came, they threw the family out of the house. The poor family went to police to describe their plight. Sub-inspector Brinda vowed to arrest both the con-men soon.

Raghu and Raju purchased their own house and cars. They needed more money. They hatched a new plan. They gave advertisemnet for admissions in a college for MBA. They befooled some students and parents. When they came to knew about this it was too late. The victim went to police and Brinda got more enraged.

One day Brinda read an advertisement. A man has offered 5 crores to man who could marry his mentally unstable daughter. Brinda suspected something wrong and sends her middle – aged constable in disguise to make a marriage proposal. The constable finds the truth and informs Brinda. However Raghu and Raju managed to flee in time.

After some time both Raghu and Raju made another plan for conning people. They started selling a health insurance golden card. Anyone could buy this card for 50,000 and then avail treatment for free at any hospital in India. Few people became victim. One such was a beautiful girl Nisha.

However Raghu soon became attracted to Nisha and fell in love. He started meeting her. One day he happened to visit her house. He saw her father was ill with heart disease and required money for operation. Raghu was filled with guilt. He discussed the matter with Raju. Raghu said that they should tell the truth but Raju argued with him. Soon they started quarrelling and their friendship broke- up.

Raghu went to Nisha and told the truth. Nisha was heartbroken to hear this. She asked Raghu to go away from her life. Raghu was devastated. He lost both his friend as well as girl-friend. He started drinking. However Raju sees his friend in such a terrible condition and brought him home. They patched-up again.

One day Raju and Raghu were returning home in the night. In the way they saw three teens were trying to rape a lady who was Brinda herself in plain clothes. They beat the boys who ran away. Raju and Raghu then took the fainted Brinda to hospital. They found out that Brinda was a sub-inspector. But Raju had fallen in love with her and started dating her.

One day all of a sudden Nisha’s father was taken to hospital in emergency. But doctor refused to operate because she could not give them 15 lakhs for operation. Raghu gave the money and operation was done.

Meanwhile Raju realised that he was playing with feelings of Brinda. And confessed to her about his petty crimes. Raghu also joined him. Both Raghu and Raju were sent to one year of jail. After coming out they applied for joining Delhi police force and got selected.

Later they married their lovers and lived happily thereafter.
