SYNOPSIS (STORY)

WORKING TITLE: THE FAMILIES

His real name is Mark but he calls himself Malcolm now. He works in a restaurant as short order cook and suffers from panic attacks occasionally. One day his girlfriend Judy takes him home to meet her family. In the night when everyone was sleeping Mark kills everyone by slitting their throats.

Mark moves to a new city and rents a house. His neighbour Rosy, a middle aged woman, her husband Peter and son Joel become suspicious of him and start spying upon him. Rosy sends Joel to a friend Richard, Judy’s father in another city to gather more information about Mark. Joel finds about the murder of Richard and family and also that Mark has a twin Daniel. One night Rosy invites Mark for the dinner where he becomes sick and stay for the night. In the middle of night, when everyone was sleeping Mark strikes again and kills them.

Mark then moves to a new city. He starts spying a beautiful girl Sandra and gathers all information about her and her family. He stays in the hotel where Sandra works as receptionist. There he saves the life of Sandra’s ten years old nephew Ricky from drowning in the hotel’s swimming pool. The event leads Mark and Sandra to know each other and they start dating. Soon Mark moves in with Sandra however her mother Susan remains sceptic of Mark.

While living with Sandra it is revealed that Mark has another girl- friend in some other city. Once he goes to meet her and kills her and her family too.

One day Karen, Sandra’s friend comes to meet her. After seeing Mark she tells Sandra that Mark’s face resembles the poster of a wanted murderer. Sandra doesn’t believe her but Karen starts her investigation. She goes to the city where Richard and family were murdered. She learns about a website where Mark’s sketch and his crime details were there. She mails the website’s link to Sandra however Mark attacks and kills her while doing so.

Mark comes to Sandra who now knows about him. Sandra and family try to save themselves from Mark. In the ensuing struggle Mark however holds them captive and brings to the living room. He ties their hands and makes them sit on the sofa. He then shows them a video on the laptop. It’s a video of a dinner party at Richard house which had got recorded in the cell of Mark’s nephew Jimmy, who had placed it in a secret place in the house before dinner.

THE VIDEO: A dinner party at Richard’s house is going on. All the people killed by Mark earlier are sitting on the dining table along with Mark’s family who were neighbours to Richard’s family. Dinner is served and people start with the soup. After some time all members of Mark’s family faint and fall on the table. The true identity of other people is then revealed as they butcher the entire family of Mark in the most heinous act. They cook some of the human meat and eat.

Everything is revealed to Sandra and her family in this sudden twist. They accept Mark in their family. One day when Sandra expresses doubts about her missing brother, Mark gives her a locket of him. He tells Sandra that he had found it at Karen’s house thus indicating that her brother too was a victim of those cannibals.
